MY UPLOADS
The My Uploads section is a centralized location where all the uploading of your files is be done. All file(s) you upload, whether it's to another Speed Download user, a FTP server, an
iDisk, or a public iDisk, will always be found nicely organized for your convenience right here no matter where they are physically located on your hard disk (even if you move things around
all the time). The My Uploads section It looks like this:
My uploads may look simple enough but rest assured, this section is pretty powerful. Sending / transferring a file to other Speed Download users, FTP servers, an iDisk, or public iDisk is extremely easy and can be done in many ways with just one click!
To upload (send) a file, either:
- Click on the Upload arrow
in the toolbar, or
- Click on the Upload arrow
in each row, or
- Simply drag and drop a file (could be from anywhere) onto the 'My Uploads' section.
Clicking the Upload arrow
will bring up a window from where you can quickly pick which file(s) you would like to upload. Once that's done, then another window appears and that's where you select where you would like to upload (send) the file(s) to.
Machines on your local LAN, as well as servers that you are already connected to will be immediately visible and ready for use.
To connect to a new remote machine, simply click on the
'Click to create a new connection' arrow, choose the type of server you would like to upload to (Speed Download, FTP, iDisk, etc) and enter the machine's IP/URL, and login info (if there is any). You
can also pick from any servers you have bookmarked from the 'My servers' pop-up menu.
